Amy Bailey is an Ohio-born writer who spent nearly two decades in the Deep South before retreating northward. She holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Miami University and is in a constant state of brooding over, rather than actively writing, her memoir. Her work was recently excerpted in National Geographic, and her essays have appeared in Split Lip Magazine, Wraparound South, The Florida Review's Aquifer, and elsewhere.
