Memory As Memoir: Mining Memory For Story

Memoir Magazine-Memory as Memoir Memoir Class

THIS CLASS IS NOW FULL. Please Stay tuned for our other upcoming Memoir Classes.

As part of our ongoing commitment to nurturing the voices of marginalized groups and writers of color, Memoir Magazine is sponsoring 15 writers for a free online memoir class for African-American women at the Kitchen Table Arts.

In this 4-week self-paced course, writers will complete exercises to explore their life for moments to craft into narratives. Not all memories are stories, but using memory and experience as a launch pad for creative nonfiction work can lead to compelling stories that, when crafted just right, become personal essays, memoir drafts, and more.
